Alanya Municipality has approved plans for major improvements to the city’s infrastructure. The projects aim to improve residents’ quality of life, enhance public safety and create new public spaces.
A modern library operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, is planned for the former municipal building. The facility will provide residents and students with a comfortable place to read and study.
A large underground car park is planned beneath the Cumartesi Pazarı (Saturday Market) area. The project aims to improve parking availability and reduce pressure on the city’s street infrastructure.
Alanya plans to bring several emergency response services together in one centre. The facility is expected to accommodate AFAD, AKUT, ambulance services and the fire brigade. This arrangement is intended to improve coordination during emergencies.
Mobile fire water tankers with a capacity of 3,000 litres have been delivered to help protect rural areas. The additional equipment will support firefighting operations and improve emergency response in areas farther from the city centre.
The new infrastructure initiatives cover several key areas, including transport, education, emergency response and rural safety. Their implementation could make Alanya more convenient for permanent residents and increase the appeal of certain neighbourhoods.
